Express Update – Current Situation for Shipments in Mauritius (MRU)

Due to the COVID-19 activity in Mauritius, Mauritian authorities had decided to extend the nation-wide lockdown until April 30, 2021.

Under this lockdown directive, all non-essential businesses are to remain closed. Essential businesses such as supermarkets are still operational but they operate under strict sanitary measures.

Because of the lockdown extension, please expect delays in clearance processes, pickup and delays.

The Mauritian authorities could extend, ease or amend any part or the entire lockdown restriction with little or no prior notice depending on the COVID-19 activity on the succeeding weeks.
